Abstract

The researchers are interested in seeing how the effectiveness of the PQRST method in overcoming problems during reading learning. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study was all 10th grade students at SMKN 1 Ampek Angkek. The total sample is 57 students. In this study, researcher used purposive sampling. The data was got by documentation. The researcher asked students reading score from teacher. To analyze the data the researcher did manually to find out "is the use of the PQRST method effective for students' reading comprehension?". The results of the research showed that the PQRST method was effective in reading activity. These results can be seen from average score reading activity of students which reached 75%.
